Tere Banks is a native of Mississippi, which accounts for her lovely southern accent. She is multi-lingual with a BA from the University of Mississippi in English and Spanish, and also a degree in Journalism as well as a Masters Degree in Mass Communication. Having worked in the corporate world for more than 20 years, she has followed her calling to the realm of personal growth using Aromatherapy, Reiki, Feng Shui and other natural healing techniques. Using only the purest essential oils and herbal ingredients, Tere has developed over 400 formulas for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and harmony. She is also certified through the Holistic Therapies Institute of Ohio and the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy. In this presentation, Tere gives a very detailed explanation of what aromatherapy is, where it came from and the benefits everyone can obtain from using pure essential oils. There is no better presentation of this topic available and should be the first choice of everyone who is interested in Aromatherapy Basics.

My guess is she has some carrier oil mixed in that bottle too. She does say to let her know if there is any stinging and she will apply MORE carrier oil which suggests she has some already mixed in or thats what has just been applied on the client as she was effeuraging! I agree it does send out the wrong message though for learning purposes, well clearly it does if this is what everyone is commenting on!

So you just take the bad comments away from Qualified Aromatherapists?

You know fine you shouldnt be putting aroma oil straight on skin neat!

Except Gattefossé’s story is wrong. He exactly wrote: “In my personal experience, after a laboratory explosion covered me with burning substances which I extinguished by rolling on a grassy lawn, both my hands were covered with a rapidly developing gas gangrene. Just one rinse with lavender essence stopped “the gasification of the tissue”. This treatment was followed by profuse sweating, and healing began the next day (July 1910).”
